Dogs…

…………is the challenge on Gothic Arches today.  I’m a real dog person so it’s a great theme as far as I’m concerned.  I was looking through my images and found two which I got from Nancy Dooren’s free downloads and as I couldn’t make up my mind which to use, decided to use both, make two arches and join them together as a diptych!

I printed the images and mounted them onto card, cut into an arch shape and then painted round the images first with gesso and then with a mixture of acrylics.  I added a bit of stamping in the background and the computer generated quote, then added some eyelets and tied together with a little string. 

I really enjoyed making this, hope you like it.

Fun Saturday!

Had the day off work yesterday and spent it at LB Crafts doing a class involving canvases, collage and metal work……so much fun!  We all followed the same basic  design but were able to choose our own colours and alter the layout if we wished.  Anyway here’s my finished piece……………..
