This weeks challenge over on Skinny Saturday is Pierrot and I was recently challenged to create something black, white and textured for a forum challenge so thought I’d combine the two! Unfortunately the texture doesn’t show terribly well in the scan but it was even worse in the photo I took so it’ll just have to do!
I cut a piece of corrugated card to skinny size then ripped some of the top surface off to reveal parts of the corrugation underneath. Applied gesso to the whole thing then painted with white acrylic on the smooth bits and black on the ‘bumpy’ bits, added a few hite highlights here and there and then added a collage image of the little girl in her pierrot outfit.
