….so it’s Sunday Postcard Art time and this week the theme is DOORS chosen by Sandy.

Here are a couple I’ve done.  The first is hand drawn with felt tip pens which I then brushed with water to give a watercolour look to and the second is a collaged one.

Came across this image on a flickr group I belong to and couldn’t resist using him to make a postcard with. Noticed that Crazy Amigo’s had a free theme this week so thought he’d be my entry for that as well.

…………is the theme on Gothic Arches this week.  Boy I thought the arch was difficult but that was nothing to the problem of trying to scan it!! LOL!

I painted the arch with white acrylic, covered the whole thing with white lace ( doesn’t really show in scan) added some paper and painted over that, then the image, bit more paint round the edges then added the butterfly and the white embossed grungeboard letters to finish it off.

….the theme for this weeks Wednesday Stamper is Summer Tea Party, well what’s a tea party without tea and cakes??

Drew a teapot shape ( measures about 18cm x 12cm) and cut it out of some thick card.  I then stuck loads of bits of torn backing and script paper all over it, then painted it with acrylics, rubbed a bit of chalk ink, stamped some swirls with paint and some greenery with stazon, added the image of the little girl and some cupcakes, stamped some writing and added that and then finished it off with some shading with coloured pencils and a marker pen.

Now with all this talk of tea, I think I better go make a cup!

Dogs are the theme for our weekly challenge over on Sunday Postcard Art.

I made a couple this week.  Paper layering for the backgrounds of both of them with some acrylic smeared on here and there and then some distress ink and a bit of chalk ink for good measure.  Collaged images, shading with couloured pencil, tiny amount of overstamping and some correction tape around the edges finshed them off……….another ‘chuck everything at it that’s on the table’ session!! LOL!
