Chevrons……

…..is our theme this week on Sunday Postcard Art. Decided to add chevrons in the form of some Zentangle inspired patterns to a little fun owl I drew.

Postage/Mail Art……….

………is our theme at SPA. We are joined by Rein this week as our guest host, so thanks for the interesting theme Rein.
For mine this week I drew a picture of an old Victorian wall post box and then stencilled and painted a background which I layered with some stamping and collaged postage stamps for added interest. Apologies about photo, the light wasn’t very brilliant! I’ll try and get a better one and swap it later.

All taped up……

……this week at SPA we have to use tape somewhere/somehow on our postcard. I picked up a Gorjuss stamp the other week because I thought it looked cute so decided to use that as my main image and incorporate the tape into the background for some added texture.

St Patricks Day……

……at SPA this week we thought it would be fun to don the green and celebrate St Patricks Day. Couldn’t find any stamps that I’d got that fitted the bill, the printer was out of ink so collage images were out of the question and wasn’t in the mood for digital. So I set to work with a pair of scissors and cut myself some shamrocks and a horseshoe then combined it with an inky background , bit of ribbon and a few flowers I found in my box.

Mothers Day…….

We’re celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday Postcard Art this week. I’m being cheeky this week and my postcard is doubling as my Mother’s Day card! A right mix this one; background is made with mica sprays, stencilled with white acrylic and then stamped. Made some flowers and added some collaged butterflies and image to finish. Has a lovely shimmer in real life.

Key to My Heart

This week at SPA we’re joined by Kersten and as her theme she has chosen ‘Key to My Heart’, lovely theme Kersten. Well my Grandparents were always the key to each others heart, so very much a couple, so I’ve used an old pic I have of them………
